Pine tree shavings

I saved shavings from a pine tree that was cut off. Has any one stuffed a teddy with these? They have a lovely clean smell. :confused:

This is a bit out of my league but I was wondering if they might go sticky from the sap, if they are too fresh?? Not sure really..:confused2:

I have had them for 3 weeks in a bag and they look completely dry. I'll keep them for some time and see if they have any traces of sap.
