:welcome:to this new thread!
Just thought it could help if we look together how to manage difficulties that we might have when making a bear.
Hopefully everone will participate and so we can learn something or give help to those who ask for.
I know that it's a bit strange that bearmakers talk about their "knowledges" they worked out hardly but let's be generous - it could be that even establishes artist find a tricky thing they didn't know yet...........one never knows!
:thanks:to all who give a helping hand!:applause:

I agree, let me be the first to share a tip I learnt regarding the palcing of ears. To ensure that the ears are placed evenly from the centre of the head, take a fabric tape measure and put a pin thru the centre of it (some have a little hole in the metal end), and into Y where the side head and gussett meet. Take the tape measure stright up and over the top of the head. Place a pin on either side of of it. Move the tape over the pin and place another pin next to it. You bear now starts looking like it is having aquapuncture. Repeat this on both sides from the centre placement. You will end up with a row of pins accross the top of the head, and can see where the ears look best.

:thanks: - that sounds good .
I must admit that I never tried this for my bears and also, that sometimes it's a battle to win when I fix the ears.
Hopefulle I'm intelligent enough to it - that would help!:applause:

After I have stuffed the arms & legs of my bear I clean the disc area of fur pile as well as on the body where the arms and legs are going to be placed. Reason: When you work with a very long fur pile the fur gets tangled up on the screws.
