I know you can stuff bears with glass beads and steel shot to give the bear some weight. I do have a big bottle full of the lead pellets, is it save to use?

Sorry:confused3:but I think that's not a very good idea!
Using lead - almost over here in Europe - is forbidden as it's considered to be dangerous for health!
You can use -as it's the most "economical" and "ecoligical" - sand in a more or less big bag(sewn from cotton fabric p.ex.) that you insert in the bear's belly or his feet to give him weight .
If you want your bear to be cuddly and soft but also pretty heavy, fill him with rubber pellets.......
Rubber pellets exist in different quality.

So lead pellets is a no-no for teddy bears.
