Mohair stash

I put all my mohair in my mohair cupboard. All the little bits and pieces that are left over are kept in separate little plastic bags in the bottom next to the sewing machine. Any other ideas for storing mohair? I have a great pattern (will soon post it in a pattern section on the forum) for all those bits and pieces that I'll use on a rainy day:rolleye:.

Please help me? Where do you get your mohair and faux fur? I can't find a supplier! I can't get the fur to make teddys, all the links and leads I have are outdated, I'd like a USA supplier. Please help??

We have a company that imports our mohair from Germany. I buy all my faux fur - (picture) - from our Oriental plaza, as I use the black faux fur for Gollie hair:Winking:. The Orienetal plaza is a big market place where you can buy mostly "cheap of anything" .

Gosh, your stash looks so neat! My very tiny pieces are used for stuffing my old style bears. Slightly larger pieces are saved for ears, tails and for making my Harlequin Bears - bears made with odds of material.

It only looks neat once a year, the rest of the time I just toss mohair in. :rolleye2: What a great idea to save the tiny pieces for stuffing :happy3:

I get a lot of my mohair from Intercal and more from www.teddybearmohair.com...

Faux fur in the USA can be gotten in a few places. I use one from the west coast that has the cheaper but odd looking furs www.distintivefabrics.com (http://www.distintivefabrics.com) and one from the east coast that carried all prices of faux fur www.imstuffedfur.com (http://www.imstuffedfur.com) Intercal is the best one that I know of for mohair. Hope this helps.

I was just thinking about this thread! SHE HAS A MOHAIR CABINET? I was just digging through my mohair...scattered all over my "laundry, sewing, painting, craft, junk room...and thought about this organized lady! Boy does she make me look bad!!! I would hate for you ladies to see my "room"!

I must admit not all my mohair is in the cabinet at this stage.:o

I just dyed white mohair yesterday and got this soft blue and green - and that is scattered all over my "office" :ashamed:
