I bought myself a Copic air-brushing system that I used with the copic pens, which is very easy to use. As it is impossible to get air cans in South-Africa for the copic airbrush I need to use my husband's airbrush. He use his airbrush for his model tanks & airoplanes with enamel paint. 1)What type of paint will I use with an airbrush on my teddie bears? 2)Any tips on using an airbrush? 3)Any do's & don'ts for using an airbrush? Thanks in advance:help:

Start off slowly, very slowly. You need to practise, practise, practise. I started off on paper, draw lots of bear faces on paper or cotton material and airbrush them. Remember less is always better:p

Most paints can be used with an airbrush. It just needs to be the consistency of ink. You can thin acrylic paint with water, but always test on scrap material first. Some paint will not adhere well to fur, so it's very important to experiment.

This attempt at airbrushing was not very successful. I now have this red teddy bear head in my studio as a reminder to first do an airbrushing test on a sample of the mohair before I actually airbrush the teddy bear. I made another head and have learned that it is better to first "age" the mohair (it gives the red mohair a more vintage look as well). :puzzled::oh:
