I normally use Copic pens to shade around my teddies nose and eyes. Can one use fabric paint?

Yes you can use fabric paint. The only problem is it leaves the fur stiff so you have to give it a good brush with a teasle brush or similar to make it fluffy again.

If you use textil colors and you only want to give a shading, you can take a wet old piece of coton fabric and just dip it into the color and wipe about you mohair......when you pass a dry coton over it the shading becomes very light

I'll try this next time. When I first experimented with fabric paint I nearly ruined the face as it came out very dark. Instead of wiping it with a piece of dry cotton I kept on applying the paint.:o

Love the cat. Is this mohair or faux fur? I have never been able to make a cat that looks real. Maybe I will try again as it has been a few years since I tried.
