My very first Teddy Bear - Meet "TED"

My very first bear was a lovely little Chiltern, he was give to me when I was a child, as you can see from his photo below, as with all of us as we get on in years, he has to wear specs now (especially for watching TV, and perusing articles in bear magazines... ooops he seems to have quickly taken them off for the photo, he is quite a vain little chap, still he isn't bovered by the others much as he knows who's favorite he is !!!

Chris, you are lucky for being able to keep your teddy bear for so long in such a good condition. I only received only bear at the young age of 43! I intend to collect may more but only time will tell. I post a photograph later.

Hey folks, here is a pic of some of my child hood friends & one of me at about 6. the big orange ted is my very first teddy, given to me by my Nanna back in 1969, the little panda is a Alpha Farnell, he is my big brothers, I ended up with him because I always would go "teddynap" him from his room and hide him in my pram...heheheh, so my brother Glen said I could have him now...ahhh..the other toys are some very precious old friends I have been able to keep safe over the years...:happy5:

I never gave him a name so now I call him Arkie as he is an Ark Bear.
