I normally take a vacuum cleaner - once a month- and make sure I get all the dust out of my Bears that are on display.

If a bear is REALLY old and fragile even a vauum cleaner can be too harsh on its fur. In this case I would take it to the back door, Whilst wearing a dust mask, (ME NOT THE BEAR) and using a hair dryer on cool and gentle mode I would work over the fur blowing up against the way the fur is lying.
Also you can use a hair brush that you buy for a baby at a nursey shop. These are SO soft that they are very gentle on our elderly hug members thining locks.

Using a hair dryer on the older bears are a great idea, never thought of that.:)

I used to keep my bear under the bed in a box but then that is not a way to exibit the bear so now I also need to clean the bear. As Elize would know it is very dusty here on the highveld in the winter.

A static mop works well too :)
