I have never done an Online Teddy Bear show and think it is time that I try one. As I am in South-Africa I can not receive money via paypal - which makes it impossible to sell bears on ebay. Can anyone give me some advice on online Teddy Bear Shows, which are the best shows, what NOT to do, etc? :oh::puzzled::oh::puzzled:

I have not done any online shows either, so can't help you with this. I do have some of my bears listed on other websites, besides my own website, but sales are not very good. Most everyone here in the USA do require you to have paypal.

Hi Elize, Welcome in South Africa! I live in Pretoria and at the moment it is pouring with rain.

I just downloaded three of my gollywoks on the site. I hope you love them! Wish we could meet each other!

Up to now, I only participated on 1 online show that ran 24 hours on
http://www.whoiswho-in-bearmaking.com last november.
Yes, I sold but not so much while others artist have been sold out within 1 or 2 hours.
That happens even on fairs..........one has fabulous selling others none.
Online shows can help to those artist and collectors who would never meet otherwise.
p.ex. one of my collectors comes from New Mexico and I never moved from France to countries such far away...........and vice/verso.
If you go to show your bears on fairs, it's great to have the personal contact - as well with others artist as with the collectors.
For myself, the few fairs I do are great, great fun but doesn't take anything away from online-shows.
Who - is - Who website will star another online-show on September 5th and 6th.
The artist will show off creations they made especially for this show and sell them only during those 2 days.
Some days before the show will start you'll find a showcase with participating artists.
You can visit http://www.whoiswho-in-bearmaking.com (http://www.whoiswho-in-bearmaking.com/) and follow the instructions. All is described in English.
Once, the show started, you contact directely the artist with only 1 mouse-click on you computer as the artist will be online during the show time.
