Mink Bear

I haven't made a bear from real fur in a long time and I forgot how hard this type of thing is to work with. I had an old mink coat that I bought maybe 10 years ago at a thrift shop and had taken it apart and then just boxed it up. The other day I decided to get it out and see what I could do. The leather seems pretty good on it and I lined the whole thing in muslin to help with popped seams but it wasn't as good as I thought because I still had seam problems and had to remake the head three times. :eek2: Anyway, I finally finished it and this is the result. It is posted on my website for sale.

Eva he looks great. I believe it is quite difficult to work with real fur. I feel like I am in the same boat as you as I am busy with head number 4 for a red mohair bear:cry: As soon as I am done I'll post his picture.
